Lady Bisons Blank Tigers: Harding Women's Soccer Wins Fourth Straight

SEARCY, Ark.— Harding women's soccer team extended its winning streak to four games with a 2-0 shutout victory over Ouachita Baptist on Wednesday at Stevens Soccer Field.

The Lady Bisons (5-5-1, 4-1-1 Great American Conference) took the lead in the eighth minute when Skylar Henley scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Kelli Tindel. Henley's shot from just outside the 18-yard box curled into the top left corner of the net.

Harding doubled its lead in the 40th minute on Carmen Gunn's team-leading fourth goal. Calle Citty sent a long ball down the left side, finding Kloey Fullerton, who tapped it to Gunn for the short-range score.

Maysa Willis earned her third shutout of the season, making three saves as Harding outshot Ouachita Baptist 17-6.

The victory marked Harding's first four-game winning streak since 2016 and moved the Bisons into first place in the Great American Conference standings.

Ouachita Baptist (4-5-2, 3-1-2 GAC) had tied Harding in their previous three meetings.

Harding will look to extend its streak at Southern Nazarene on October 23.
