No. 6 Harding Football Rolls Past Southeastern Oklahoma, 56-14

SEARCY, Ark. — The sixth-ranked Harding University Bisons dominated Southeastern Oklahoma 56-14 on Thursday night, amassing 542 total yards.

Harding's victory, combined with previously unbeaten Ouachita Baptist's loss to winless Southern Nazarene, has moved the Bisons into a first-place tie in the Great American Conference standings.

Harding's offense erupted for 28 second-quarter points, sparked by Braden Jay's 13-yard run and 61-yard sprint. Jay also caught a 53-yard touchdown pass from Cole Keylon, who surpassed 2,000 career passing yards with 75 yards tonight.

Andrew Miller started the scoring with a 46-yard run, while Blake Delacruz added a 43-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter. Christian Franklin sealed the win with two fourth-quarter scores, including a 57-yard run. Harding had an additional third quarter touchdown when wide receiver Dane Romberger recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score.

Southeastern Oklahoma's Kobe Jennings caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Cergio Perez, and DJ Brown scored on a 2-yard run.

Harding outgained Southeastern Oklahoma 490-275 in total yards, rushing for 415 yards at 7.7 yards per carry and seven touchdowns. The Bisons converted 6 of 11 third-down attempts.

The Bisons had several outstanding individual performances. Braden Jay rushed for 108 yards, becoming the 10th Harding player with over 2,000 career rushing yards. Clark Griffin led Harding with 10 tackles, his third straight game with 10 or more tackles. Darion Dunlap-Johnson made three interceptions, marking Harding's 10th three-interception game.
