Lady Bisons Strike Early, Hold Off Rangers for 3-1 Win

SEARCY, Ark. — Harding University secured a decisive 3-1 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday in Great American Conference action at Stevens Soccer Complex, marking the team's highest scoring performance this season.

The Lady Bisons (2-5-1, 1-1-1 Great American Conference) dominated possession, outshooting the Rangers 19-6. Georgia Templeton, Lauren Service, and Carmen Gunn each found the back of the net for Harding.

Templeton opened the scoring in the sixth minute, volleying home a corner kick assisted by Lauren Service. Service doubled the lead just six minutes later, driving to the goal line and volleying a shot into the net.
 
Northwestern Oklahoma State's Tiara Campbell scored in the 63rd minute, but Harding's Gunn sealed the win with a beautifully chipped shot over the keeper in the 83rd minute.

Maysa Willis made three saves in goal for Harding, while Rachel Brown stopped seven shots for the Rangers (2-5-3, 0-2-2).

The match saw several scoring chances for both teams, with Harding's Kloey Fullerton and Skylar Henley each recording multiple shots on goal.

Harding's victory marked a crucial conference win, boosting the team's momentum heading into their next matchup Wednesday at home against Southern Nazarene at 3 p.m.
