Harding Advances to GAC Volleyball Tournament Championship with 3-1 Win Over East Central

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Harding advanced to the Great American Conference volleyball tournament championship with a 3-1 semifinal win over East Central on Friday at Bank OZK Arena.
The Lady Bisons won by set scores of 25-18, 16-25, 25-16 and 25-17.

Trailing 16-13 in the opening set, Harding closed on a 12-2 run, capped by a Delaney Garner kill. East Central evened the match with a 25-16 win in the second set, but Harding regained control with a dominant third set.

The Lady Bisons never trailed in the third, winning eight of the last 10 points, including six straight to take a 2-1 lead. Harding scored five straight points early in the fourth set to take the lead and closed the set by winning 12 of the last 17 points. Tatum Fouche served an ace on match point.

Maegan Lacy led Harding with 11 kills, while Delaney Garner and Jacey Lambert added nine each. Lacy also recorded 13 digs for a double-double. Tatum Fouche led the Lady Bisons with 25 digs, her 11th match this season with 20 or more.
East Central's Odalys Gonzalez had a match-high 21 kills.

Harding will play in its ninth GAC Tournament final and seek its fourth tournament championship on Saturday at 3 p.m. against the winner of top-seeded Southwestern Oklahoma and No. 5 seed Ouachita Baptist.
