RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the volleyball players of the week for the ninth week of the 2024 season. Harding's Skyler McKinnon and Olivia Wiedower captured the Offensive Player and Setter of the Week honors; Southwestern Oklahoma State's Jada Permenter claimed the Defensive Player of the Week accolade.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Skyler McKinnon, OH, Harding, Sr., Trophy Club, Texas
McKinnon led the Lady Bisons' offense in their sweep of Arkansas-Monticello. She tallied a match-high 16 kills and hit .452. She committed only two errors in the victory. The attack percentage represented her second-best mark of the season. The victory clinched a berth in the GAC Championships for the Lady Bisons.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jada Permenter, L, Southwestern Oklahoma State, So., Amarillo, Texas
Permenter tallied 19 digs and the Bulldogs defeated Southern Nazarene in their lone match of the week. She collected 12 of her digs in the first set of the three-set victory. She added seven assists and two service aces. SWOSU has defeated each of its last four GAC opponents in three-set matches.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Wiedower, S, Harding, So., Conway, Arkansas
Wiedower dished out 40 assists in their three-set victory against Arkansas-Monticello. She added nine digs, two kills and a service ace. She reached 40 assists in a three-set match for the third time this season. The Lady Bisons extended their win streak against the Blossoms to 19.
