Harding Women's Soccer Falls 2-1 at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Ouachita Baptist edged Harding 2-1 in a Great American Conference women's soccer matchup Thursday at Kluck Field.

Caroline Kauppi scored Harding's lone goal in the 17th minute, her first of the season and second career goal, assisted by Kloey Fullerton and Carmen Gunn.

Ouachita Baptist netted goals in the 47th and 55th minutes to secure the win.

Harding outshot Ouachita 21-11, including 9-6 on goal. The Lady Bisons' best second-half chances came from Fullerton (56'), Gunn (70') and Georgia Templeton (80').

The loss drops Harding to 6-8-1 overall and 5-4-1 in conference, while Ouachita Baptist improves to 6-7-3 overall and 5-3-3 in conference.

Harding has two regular-season games remaining: Saturday against East Central in Searcy and Monday, Nov. 11, at Southwestern Oklahoma. The GAC Tournament begins Nov. 14, featuring the conference's top four teams. Harding currently shares second place with Southern Nazarene, each with 16 points.
