Harding Men's Tennis Dominates Arkansas-Fort Smith with 7-0 Victory

Box Score SEARCY - Under cloudy skies and cool breezes, Harding men's tennis secured a 7-0 victory against Arkansas-Fort Smith on Thursday at the David Elliott Tennis Complex. With this shutout, Harding's second of the season, the Bisons improved to 4-4 with three additional wins against junior colleges.

For the first time in its last five matches, Harding clinched the doubles point with a dominant 6-1 victory at No. 2 from Dani Ortiz and Teodor Zlatar, coupled with another 6-1 win at No. 3 from Caleb Folse and Jaydon van Vreden. Folse and van Vreden have secured victories in their last two matches and boast a team-best four dual wins.

In the singles matches, Harding triumphed in straight sets in five out of six matches. Teodor Zlatar achieved a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1, marking his fourth consecutive singles win and improving his record to 5-1 in dual singles matches. Dani Ortiz emerged victorious in three sets at No. 2, securing his 56th career victory and ascending to 20th in career singles wins at Harding.

Bryce Walker also climbed into Harding's career top 25 in singles wins, seizing a commanding 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 6 to reach 24th in all-time wins.

Harding is set to resume action on Friday at home against Southwest Baptist.
