The Harding men's tennis team dropped their first match of the season, losing 5-2 to Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. The Bisons are now 2-1 on the season. 

The Bisons opened the match by grabbing the first two doubles matches to earn the first point and go up 1-0. Cas De Ruiter and Cian Mikkelsen won at No. 1, 6-1. Caleb Folse and Jaydon van Vreden clinched the point with a 6-3 win at No. 3. 

The Choctaws won the first five singles matches to clinch the dual. Mikkelsen and Luis Agullo both won the first set of their respective matches at No. 3 and No. 4, before dropping their final two sets. Folse scored the lone singles victory, winning in a third set tiebreaker, 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. 

The Bisons will next play four matches in Texas next weekend, opening with Collin College on Friday.
