The Harding men's tennis team posted their second sweep in as many days at the Elliott Tennis Complex, beating Southwest Baptist 7-0 on Friday afternoon. The Bisons improve to 5-4 on the season with three additional wins against junior colleges.
The Bisons opened the match winning the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Dani Ortiz and Teodor Zlatar opened the match with a convincing 6-1 victory at No. 2. Caleb Folse and Jaydon van Vreden battled their way to a 7-6 victory at No. 3, for their third consecutive win.
Ortiz won the first singles match, 7-6, 6-0 at No. 3 to push the Bisons lead to 2-0. Luis Agullo won easily at No. 5, 6-1, 6-2. Folse clinched the match for the Bisons, winning 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6.
De Ruiter picked up his 30th career victory, winning 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2. Teodor Zlatar and Cian Mikkelsen both picked up three set victories at No. 1 and No. 4 to give the Bisons the sweep.
The Bisons will travel to Cleveland, Mississippi on Sunday to take on Delta State at 2 p.m.
