SEARCY – Harding senior post
Sage Hawley received WBCA honorable mention All-America honors Thursday.
Hawley, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, averaged 14.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the Lady Bisons, who placed second in the Great American Conference regular season and advanced to the semifinals of both the GAC Tournament and the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament.
Hawley joined Kristen Celsor (2014) as the only Lady Bisons to be honored with All-America honors by the WBCA.
Hawley, who has one season of eligibility remaining, has 52 career double-doubles. She ranks fourth at Harding with 1,730 career points and 1,028 rebounds. Hawley is one of only five active NCAA II players with more than 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds.
