RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men's and women's track & field top performers of the week for the first week of the 2024 season. Harding swept the opening honors as Savian Bush and Antiwain Jones claimed the men's honors.

Bush turned in an NCAA Provisional time in the 110-meter hurdles at the outdoor-opening Harding Invitational. He posted a winning time of 14.15 seconds. It ranks as the third-fastest time in Division II. He added a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash by recording a personal-best effort of 21.84 seconds.

Jones produced Division II's top high-jump clearance of the outdoor season when he achieved an NCAA provisional height of 2.20m at the Harding Invitational. He broke his own school record with the successful jump. No other competitor in the event cleared higher than 1.82 meters.
