The Harding men's tennis team responded to a tough loss on Thursday with a 5-2 victory on Friday morning over Missouri-St. Louis at the Elliott Tennis Complex. Harding improved to 11-7 with three additional wins over junior colleges.
Cian Mikkelsen and Florian Gayme teamed up for the first time this season and picked up the 6-1 win at No. 3. The No. 1 doubles team in Division II of Cas de Ruiter and Teodor Zlatar paired up to clinch the doubles point with a 6-1 at No. 1.
Edoardo D'Arrigo picked up the first singles victory of the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6. Bryce Walker won a tough three-setter, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 5. Teodor Zlatar, the No. 46-ranked singles player, came from behind to clinch the match for the Bisons, winning 6-7, 6-1, 6-3. Mikkelsen won 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 to finish the match.
The Bisons will return in two weeks on April 12 when they host Southeastern Oklahoma at the Elliott Tennis Complex, beginning at 1 p.m.
