Box Score The Harding men's tennis team picked up their second ranked win of the season, defeating No. 47 ranked Southeastern Oklahoma 5-2 at the Elliott Tennis Complex. The Bisons improved to 12-7 on the season with three additional wins against junior colleges and improved to 1-1 in MIAA-South play.
The Bisons dropped the opening doubles match before winning the final two doubles matches in tiebreakers. Caleb Folse and Jaydon van Vreden picked up their team leading 11th doubles victory, winning 8-6 in the set tiebreaker at No. 3. Cian Mikkelsen and Florian Gayme won for the second time this season, taking their set at No. 2, 7-5 in the tiebreaker.
Dani Ortiz pushed the lead to 2-0 for the Bisons with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1. Luis Agullo picked up the quick 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5. After a Savage Storm victory at No. 2, Bryce Walker clinched the match for the Bisons with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 6, for his 60th career victory. Cas de Ruiter picked up the final Bisons point with a come from behind win at No. 3, winning 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.
The Bisons will return to the court on Tuesday when they travel to No. 25 Ouachita Baptist to take on the Tigers beginning at 2 p.m.
