RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men's basketball players of the week for the eighth week of the 2024-25 season. Harding's Sage Hawley captured the Offensive Player of the Week award and Southern Nazarene's Hannah Giddey earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

#theGAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sage Hawley, F, Harding, Sr., Memphis, Tennessee
Hawley helped the Lady Bisons improve to 6-0 in GAC play with their seventh-straight victory, a 79-68 road triumph against Southern Arkansas. She scored 34 points on 16-of-23 shooting. She added 10 rebounds, three assists and a block. She has four 30-point point games this season as she drew to within 31 points of the 2,000-point milestone.

#theGAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hannah Giddey, F, Southern Nazarene, Gr., Melbourne, Australia
Giddey cleared 11 rebounds, blocked four shots and collected a steal in the Crimson Storm's 56-49 road win against East Central. She has multiple blocks in seven of 12 games. She ranks eighth in the country in blocks per game. She registered her fifth double-double of the season and came within one assist of a triple double.
