BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Harding women's golf team moved up one spot in the final round to tie for sixth place at The Tulsa Cup, finishing its fall season strong on Tuesday.
The Lady Bisons shot 19-over 307 in the third round at Forest Ridge Golf Club to conclude the 54-hole tournament at 59-over 923. No. 36 Arkansas Tech took the team title at 19-over, with No. 31 Rogers State finishing second at 28-over.
Senior Pilar Martinez led the way for Harding, firing a 3-over 75 to secure seventh place overall at 5-over 221. It was Martinez's third top-10 finish in five fall events. She excelled on the course's par-5s, playing them at 3-under for the tournament, and paced the team with eight birdies.
Junior Sydney Kincade posted Harding's best final-round score with a 1-over 73, jumping 21 spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for 20th at 13-over 229.
Senior Madeleine Wilson tied for 31st at 16-over 232, and junior Cooper Meyer finished 51st at 25-over 241. Freshman Alyson Thomas shot 13-over in the final round to tie for 85th at 47-over 263.
Ellen Spigner of an unlisted school won the individual title at 1-under 215.
The Tulsa Cup marked the final tournament of the fall season for Harding.
