ALVA, Okla. – Harding wasted no time handing conference leader Northwestern Oklahoma its first loss in a standout performance by the Lady Bisons.
Just 4 minutes and 28 seconds into Thursday night's matchup at the Alva Recreation Complex, Calle Citty buried a low shot to the right side of the net, sparking the Bisons to a 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten Northwest Oklahoma State.
Harding added to the fast start in the 39th minute, when Gabie Eddins found the back of the net with another low-right strike—her first goal of the season—giving the Lady Bisons a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
Harding's back line and goalkeeper stood tall throughout, turning away nine shots on goal to preserve the shutout. Northwest Oklahoma State, who entered the match 8-0-1 and first in the GAC standings, struggled to break through Harding's disciplined defense despite outshooting the Lady Bisons 9-8.
Harding controlled key moments, winning six corner kicks to the Rangers' two and capitalizing late. In the 87th minute, Kloey Fullerton sealed the result with her third goal of the season to put the game out of reach.
Goalkeeper consistency and defensive resilience highlighted the night for Harding, with Maysa Willis recording nine saves in the shutout.
With the win, Harding improved to 5-4-1, while Northwest Oklahoma State fell to 8-1-1—its first loss of the season.
The Lady Bisons continue their road swing on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m., when they travel to Southwestern Oklahoma in Weatherford.
