SEARCY — Harding freshman Vivien Kipkorir has qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Cross-Country Championships, marking the first time a Harding woman has reached the national meet since 2018.
Kipkorir, a native of Iten, Kenya, secured one of 24 individual spots awarded through the automatic qualifier and at-large selection process. The championships are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
The selection follows her strong showing at the 6K NCAA Division II Central Region Championship, hosted by Missouri Southern State College, where she placed eighth among more than 200 competitors. Kipkorir finished the regional race with a time of 21 minutes, 14.6 seconds.
Her qualification is a significant achievement for the program. The last Harding woman to compete at the national meet was Alicja Minczuk, who placed 197th at the 2018 national championship in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
