SEARCY — Harding women's basketball team launched itself into the top 10 of the WBCA NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, climbing 15 spots to No. 10 in the latest rankings released Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.
The Lady Bisons (2-0) received 290 total points in the poll after a dominant start to their 2025-26 season, marking one of the largest positive jumps in the early rankings. Harding was previously ranked at No. 25 in the WBCA preseason poll.
Harding's ascent places them among the nation's elite, outpacing several perennial contenders including Union (TN) which fell from No. 2 to a tie for No. 12 after posting a 2-2 record through Sunday.
Grand Valley State (4-0) maintained the top spot in the poll, securing 23 first-place votes and 575 points. Pittsburg State (2-0) jumped five spots to No. 2, and Fort Hays State (2-0) moved up six spots to No. 3.
The Lady Bisons will look to solidify their new top-10 standing as they continue their non-conference slate before Great American Conference play begins. The No. 10 ranking is the highest for the Harding program since finishing the 2017 season ranked No. 4 nationally.
