No. 24 Harding Wins 12th Straight, Tops Arkansas Tech 10-5

SEARCY — The 24th-ranked Harding Bisons extended their winning streak to 12 games, defeating Arkansas Tech 10-5 on Tuesday at Jerry Moore Field.

Harding's top four hitters — Nathan Bowie, Collin Helms, Harrison Griffith, and Coulton Doyle — combined for 10 hits, nine runs scored, and six RBIs. Helms had a career-high four hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs.

The Bisons (14-1) took an early lead with a five-run third inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Seth Johnson. Arkansas Tech (5-8) cut the deficit to 6-4 with two runs in the fourth and fifth innings, but Harding pulled away with two runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

Keaton Baird (1-0) earned the win, allowing two earned runs on three hits in five innings. Javier Lobo struck out three in three innings, recording his 100th career strikeout, and allowing only one unearned run.

Arkansas Tech's John Gray (0-2) took the loss, surrendering five runs on five hits in two innings.

Harding will look to extend its winning streak in a weekend series at Ouachita Baptist, beginning Friday in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
