BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Jadyn Booth drove in three runs to lead Harding to a 4-1 win over Upper Iowa on Sunday.
Harding was scheduled to play Truman State Sunday afternoon but due to weather the game was canceled.
The Lady Bisons (9-1) broke through in the third inning, scoring three runs on three hits and an error. Macy Ham singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Kaya Lee reached on an error, and both runners scored on Booth's single. Zoey Neal followed with a double, scoring Booth.
Upper Iowa (3-8) got on the board in the fifth inning when Serah Shafer singled home pinch runner Reagon Proud.
Harding added an insurance run in the fifth on Booth's double, scoring Ham.
Riley Price (3-1) earned the win in the circle for the Lady Bisons, allowing one run on five hits in 4.1 innings. Avery Booker earned her first save, striking out five in 2.2 scoreless innings.
Delaney Vetter (1-4) took the loss for the Peacocks, surrendering four runs on six hits in six innings.
Ham had two hits and scored twice for Harding, while Shafer had two hits and an RBI for Upper Iowa.
Harding will be back in action next weekend when it takes part in the NCAA D-II Battle in Branson, Missouri. The Lady Bisons will open the classic against Maryville Friday at 4 p.m.
