Harding's Kopytko, Jones Earn All-America Honors at NCAA Indoors

INDIANAPOLIS — Harding's Anton Kopytko earned First Team All-America honors with a second-place finish in the men's long jump at the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships on Friday.

Kopytko, a junior, jumped 24 feet, 5.75 inches (7.46 meters) to claim his second All-America honor. He finished seventh in the event at last year's indoor nationals.

Wesley Tyndall of Lincoln (Mo.) won the event with a jump of 24-10.5 (7.58 meters).

Later in the day, Antiwain Jones earned Second Team All-America honors with an 11th-place finish in the men's high jump. Jones, a junior, cleared 6 feet, 11 inches (2.11 meters) to claim his second All-America honor. He was a First Team All-American last year, finishing fourth in the event.

Eli Kosiba of Grand Valley State won the high jump, clearing 7 feet, 3.75 inches (2.23 meters).

In other action, Harding's Kelmen de Carvalho was competing in the heptathlon but withdrew after the 60-meter hurdles with an injury.
