ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The 14th-ranked Harding men's tennis edged McKendree 4-3 on Friday, with Edoardo D'Arrigo's clutch performance at No. 6 singles clinching the victory.
D'Arrigo outlasted Aimar Oregui 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 to secure the win for the Bisons. His triumph came after the teams were tied 3-3, setting up a tense finish.
Adrian Solorzano, ranked 28th, also delivered a key win for Harding, rallying past Stepan Mach 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Caleb Folse and Luis Agullo added straight-set victories at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
In doubles, the 14th-ranked duo of Cas de Ruiter and Solorzano cruised to a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
Harding improves to 9-4 on the season.
