OXFORD, Miss. — Harding University's men's track and field team produced several standout performances at the Ole Miss Classic, including multiple NCAA Provisional times and event victories.
The Harding 4x100-meter relay team, comprised of Hayes Cox, Donald Nwamere, Caledon Ruwende, and Olaolu Olatunde, set a new school record and finished second with an NCAA Provisional time of 40.24 seconds.
Everett Mumme cleared 5.06 meters (16' 7.25") in the pole vault, earning an NCAA Provisional mark and a fifth-place finish.
Daniel Osoba achieved an NCAA Provisional mark in the triple jump, leaping 14.70 meters (48' 2.75") for fourth place. He also competed in the long jump, reaching 6.45 meters (21' 2") for 19th place.
Lukas Stiper dominated the discus, winning the event with an NCAA Provisional throw of 53.14 meters (174' 4"). Spencer Helms also achieved an NCAA Provisional mark in the discus, finishing second with a throw of 50.52 meters (165' 9"). Helms also placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 15.07 meters (49' 5.5").
Casen Hammitt secured an NCAA Provisional mark and the top spot in the javelin, throwing 64.69 meters (212' 3").
Noah Haileab claimed victory in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossing the line in 9:17.15.
