ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Harding women's tennis team dominated singles competition, capturing four of six matches to secure a 4-1 victory over McKendree on Saturday.
Harding's top two singles players, No. 32 Karli Roux and No. 16 Alexia Zarate Valdez, set the tone with convincing wins. Roux defeated Lena Greefs 6-4, 6-2, while Zarate Valdez topped Iva Poleksic 6-1, 6-3.
Madison Stafford also earned a straight-set victory, beating Ivana Milkova 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles action, the No. 39-ranked duo of Zarate Valdez and Roux paired up to defeat Greefs and Poleksic 6-3.
