Harding Men's Track and Field Sends Six to Indoor Nationals

SEARCY, Ark. — The 17th-ranked Harding University men's track and field team will be well-represented at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, with six individuals receiving invitations to compete.

Freshman Olaolu Olatunde will make his first indoor nationals appearance in the 60-meter dash, seeded 15th with a time of 6.68 seconds. Olatunde, from Ikeja, Nigeria, will compete in the first round on Thursday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m., with the finals scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 1:55 p.m.

Senior Savian Bush, from Tatum, Texas, will also make his indoor nationals debut in the 60-meter hurdles, seeded 18th with a time of 7.97 seconds. Bush, an outdoor All-American, will compete in the first round on Friday, March 14 at 3:15 p.m., with the finals scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m.

Junior Antiwain Jones, a two-time indoor All-American from Marianna, Arkansas, will compete in the high jump, seeded 10th with a mark of 2.15 meters. The high jump event is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m.

Junior Vlad Malykhin, from Shostka, Ukraine, will look to defend his indoor national championship in the pole vault, seeded first with a mark of 5.48 meters. Malykhin, a two-time indoor and outdoor national champion, will compete on Saturday, March 15 at 1:35 p.m.

Junior Anton Kopytko, from Dnipro, Ukraine, will compete in the long jump, seeded 12th with a mark of 7.48 meters. The long jump event is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m. Kopytko is an indoor and outdoor All-American.

Junior Kelmen de Carvalho, from Hechingen, Germany, will compete in the heptathlon, seeded 16th with 5,211 points. The heptathlon begins on Thursday, March 13 at 10 a.m. De Carvalho is a two-time indoor and outdoor All-American.

The NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place on March 13-15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Indiana.
