AUSTIN, Texas – Harding's Sage Hawley has been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® women's basketball team for NCAA Division II. Hawley, a graduate student with a 3.79 GPA in Information Systems, was named to the Third Team and was one of only 16 Division II honorees.
Hawley was one of five student-athletes who were repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division II team.
The College Sports Communicators also announced the Academic All-District® teams, which included four Harding women's basketball players: Rory Geer, Josie Williams, Sage Hawley, and Aubrey Isbell.
Hawley is a two-time CSC Academic All-America® honoree and a four-time Academic All-GAC selection. Her athletic achievements include being a two-time All-American, a four-time First Team All-GAC member, and the 2023 GAC Player of the Year. She ranks in the top five all-time in Division II with 69 career double-doubles and among the top 20 with 1,353 career rebounds. She is Harding's career leader in double-doubles and rebounds, and second in career points with 2,301. During the 2024-25 season, Hawley was named D2CIDA National Player of the Week twice and was a First Team All-GAC selection.
Rory Geer, a senior forward with a 3.67 GPA in Human Biology, was also named to the Academic All-District® team. Geer has also been recognized for her athletic achievements, earning First Team All-GAC honors in 2025, and Second Team All-GAC in 2024, with an honorable mention in 2023. She became the 22nd player in Harding history to score 1,000 career points and holds the Harding career record for offensive rebounds per game (3.7).
Josie Williams, a junior point guard majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience with a 3.91 GPA, was also named to the All-District team. Athletically, Williams was named GAC Freshman of the Year in 2024 and earned an honorable mention All-GAC nod in 2025. Her 41.4 3-point percentage this season ranks 14th in Harding's single-season history.
Aubrey Isbell, a senior small forward with a 3.82 GPA in Food and Nutrition, was also named to the Academic All-District® team. A three-time Academic All-GAC selection and GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete in 2024, Isbell has also earned First Team All-GAC honors in 2025 and Second Team All-GAC honors in 2024. She became the 21st player in Harding history to score 1,000 career points. Her 88.8 free throw percentage this season was the third-best single-season mark in Harding history.
