Harding Men Post 10 NCAA Provisionals at Bryan Phillips Invitational on Senior Day

SEARCY - The No. 4-ranked Harding University men's outdoor track and field team had a strong showing at the Bryan Phillips Invitational, with standout performances from several athletes. Freshman Caledon Ruwende and sophomore Olaolu Olatunde set NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times in the 100 meters and 200 meters, respectively.
Ruwende finished first in the 100 meters with a time of 10.33 seconds, while Olatunde took second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.07 seconds. Ruwende also finished first in the 200 meters with a time of 21.06 seconds, another NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
In the 100 meters, junior Jaxon Hardy finished fourth with a time of 11.03 seconds, and senior Samuel Williams took eighth with a time of 11.24 seconds. In the 200 meters, junior Donald Nwamere finished fourth with a time of 22.29 seconds, and Williams took sixth with a time of 22.33 seconds.
The Bisons also excelled in the relays, with the 4x100 team of Nwamere, Derick St Jean, Ruwende, and Olatunde taking first place in 41.49 seconds. The 4x400 team of freshmen Emmanuel Ragira, Ruwende, Williams, and St Jean finished first in 3:21.13, while the B team of Nwamere, Olatunde, Dillon Williams, and Grant TeBeest took third in 3:24.25.
In the field events, junior Everett Mumme won the pole vault with a height of 5.11m (16' 9.25"), an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark. Junior Kylor Aguilar finished second with a height of 4.95m (16' 2.75"), also an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark. Junior Anton Kopytko dominated the long jump with a mark of 7.31m (23' 11.75"), while junior Yves Bilong won the triple jump with a mark of 15.26m (50' 0.75"), an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
Senior Spencer Helms had a strong showing in the throws, placing second in the discus with a mark of 52.72m (172' 11"), an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark, and taking first in the hammer with a mark of 47.47m (155' 9"). Helms also finished second in the shot put with a mark of 13.96m (45' 9.75"). Senior Lucas Stiper won the discus with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 52.82m (173' 3"). Junior Casen Hammitt won the javelin with a mark of 62.23m (204' 2"), an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark, while freshman Christian Erkert finished second with a mark of 59.38m (194' 10"), also an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
