A Morrilton, Arkansas native, Long cemented his place in Harding history with this prestigious award. He is the university's career leader in wins (29), innings pitched (374.1), and strikeouts (386). This season, Long is dominating on the mound with an 11-3 record and a 2.16 ERA. He currently leads NCAA Division II in strikeouts with 122 in 108.1 innings and is the first-ever Harding pitcher to win 11 games in a single season.
