SEARCY, Ark. – Three Harding University men's basketball student-athletes have been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their outstanding academic achievements, earning spots on the 2024-25 NABC Honors Court.
The honorees include senior guard Wyatt Gilbert, senior guard Wesley Booker, and senior guard Alex May. This prestigious designation acknowledges collegiate basketball players who excelled in the classroom during the recently concluded season.
To be eligible for the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year.
Gilbert, a marketing major, earned the distinction for the second consecutive year. Booker, a management and business ethics major, and May, an organizational leadership major, both earned the honor for the first time as Bisons.
The NABC Honors Court highlights the academic success of men's basketball programs across all NCAA divisions and NAIA. Harding's consistent presence on the list underscores the university's emphasis on academic achievement alongside athletic competition.
About the NABC: Located in Kansas City, Mo., the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
