Harding Women's Soccer Falls 2-0 at Washburn

TOPEKA, Kan. – Harding women's soccer conceded two first-half goals in a 2-0 loss at Washburn on Friday night at Yager Stadium.

Washburn struck early when Kate Hinck finished a pass from Sam Searcey in the sixth minute. Searcey added a goal of her own in the 27th minute with a low shot to the right side of the net.

Harding managed three total shots, two of which came from forward Gabie Eddins. Whitney Thomas recorded the other shot for Harding.

Goalkeeper Maysa Willis played the full 90 minutes and tallied three saves. Washburn outshot Harding 13-3 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Washburn goalkeeper Lili Everley made two saves to preserve the shutout.

The Lady Bisons will continue their road trip Sunday, Sept. 21, when they face Central Missouri in Warrensburg at 1 p.m.
