TULSA, Okla. — Harding women's golf secured a third-place finish at the NSU Women's Golf Classic on Tuesday, capping a strong performance at the Page Belcher Golf Course.
The Lady Bisons posted a total score of 603, finishing at 35 over par in the 17-team tournament. They recorded a team score of 299 in the first round on Monday and followed with a 304 on Tuesday. Rogers State won the tournament with a score of 589 (+21), and Aliesa Situmorang of Arkansas-Fort Smith took individual medalist honors with a 1-over 143.
Harding led all nine Great American Conference teams in the field.
Individually, Pilar Martinez led the Lady Bisons, finishing tied for fourth place with a 5-over 147. The finish marked the fourth top-five result of her career. Vivian Volion, playing as an individual, also had a strong showing, tying for 10th with a 7-over 149.
Madeleine Wilson and Sydney Kincade each tied for 14th with a score of 150 (+8). Cooper Meyer tied for 34th with a 156 (+14), while Sidney Gainor placed 46th with a 159 (+17).
Harding will compete next at the Battle of the Belt, hosted by Henderson State University in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Oct. 12-13.
