SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding women's basketball team climbed two spots to No. 15 in the latest WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll released Tuesday.
The Lady Bisons (12-2) received 227 points in the voting, moving up from No. 17 after a perfect 2-0 road trip through Oklahoma last week. Harding defeated Southern Nazarene 65-57 on Thursday and held off Oklahoma Baptist 74-72 on Saturday to improve to 6-0 on the road this season.
Harding is now the highest-ranked team from the Great American Conference, surpassing Northwestern Oklahoma State (12-2), which fell four spots to No. 19 after suffering its second loss of the season.
Grand Valley State (14-0) remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, receiving all 23 first-place votes. Minnesota State Mankato (16-0) and Texas Woman's (13-1) held steady at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Harding owns a victory over Texas Woman's from earlier in the season.
Harding returns to the Rhodes-Reaves Field House on Thursday to host Southeastern Oklahoma State. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
