Harding Women's Basketball Climbs to No. 12 in WBCA Poll

SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding women's basketball team climbed three spots to No. 12 in the latest WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll released Tuesday.

The Lady Bisons (14-2) received 305 points in the voting, moving up from No. 15 after a perfect 2-0 week at home. Harding defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State 68-46 on Thursday and rallied past East Central 59-52 on Saturday to extend its winning streak to six games.

Harding is one of two Great American Conference teams in the Top 25. Northwestern Oklahoma State (13-3) checked in at No. 25, narrowly holding onto its spot in the rankings after suffering a loss last week.

Grand Valley State (15-0) remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation, receiving all 23 first-place votes. Minnesota State Mankato (18-0) and Texas Woman's (15-1) held steady at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Harding owns a victory over Texas Woman's from earlier in the season.

The Lady Bisons return to action Thursday for a pivotal road showdown against Arkansas Tech. Both teams are tied for first place in the GAC standings. Tipoff in Russellville is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
