GREENWOOD, Ind. – The historic 2025 season for the Harding football team continued to garner recognition on Wednesday, as five Bisons were named to the 2025 Academic All-America® football teams selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Senior defensive back Ty Dugger headlined the group, earning First Team Academic All-America honors for the third consecutive year. He was joined on the First Team by junior running back Andrew Miller.
Harding also placed three players on the Second Team: senior running back Braden Jay, junior defensive lineman Justin Sobczak, and sophomore offensive lineman Cobe Williams.
The five selections recognize the Bisons' excellence in the classroom during a season in which they finished 15-1 and reached the NCAA Division II National Championship game.
Dugger, an accounting major with a 3.92 GPA, cemented his legacy as one of the top student-athletes in program history. He becomes a rare three-time First Team selection, having also received the honor in 2023 and 2024.
Miller, a finance major with a 3.64 GPA, added the academic honor to a trophy case that already includes the Darren McFadden Award and First Team All-America recognition for his on-field performance.
Jay was recognized as a repeat selection. A marketing major with a 3.70 GPA, he was a First Team honoree in 2024.
First-time honorees Sobczak (3.65 GPA, Information Systems) and Williams (3.52 GPA, Construction Management) rounded out the Harding contingent.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
