Scholl Scores in Bisons' 2-1 Road Loss to Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — 3rd-year defender Aitor Scholl scored his first goal of the season in the second half, but a late penalty kick lifted Ouachita Baptist past the Harding men's soccer team 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Kluck Field.

Ouachita (8-4-1, 5-3-0 GAC) opened the scoring in the 18th minute (17:29) when Andrew Castellanos created his own shot on a dribble drive down the middle-left side of the penalty area, slipping it past the defense to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage at the break.

Harding (0-14-0, 0-8-0 GAC) answered in the 66th minute (65:37) following its lone corner kick of the match. 2nd-year defender Noah Legge delivered a service from the right side, finding Scholl for a header near the right post to level the match at 1-1. The goal was Scholl's first of the season and the second of his collegiate career, marking his first strike since scoring at Newman on Oct. 26, 2024.

The Tigers regained the lead in the 77th minute (76:10). Castellanos drew a foul on a drive into the 18-yard box, awarding Ouachita a penalty kick. Cody Tice converted from the spot, slipping the shot off the goalkeeper's hands and into the right side of the net for the game-winner.
