SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding women's basketball team appeared in the WBCA NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll for the 14th consecutive week, landing at No. 14 in the latest rankings released Tuesday.
The Lady Bisons (22-4) moved down four spots from No. 10 following a split on the road last week, which included a win at East Central and a narrow overtime loss at Southeastern Oklahoma State. Harding remains the only school from the Great American Conference represented in the Top 25.
Texas Woman's (24-1) took over the No. 1 spot in the nation, earning 15 first-place votes. Grand Valley State moved up to No. 2, followed by previous No. 1 Minnesota State Mankato at No. 3. Colorado Mesa and Indiana (Pa.) rounded out the top five.
Harding received 244 total points in this week's voting. The Lady Bisons have been a mainstay in the national rankings this season, having climbed as high as No. 7.
The Lady Bisons return to action Thursday night at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House to take on Arkansas-Monticello. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. as Harding enters the final week of the regular season looking to clinch a high seed for the GAC Tournament.
