SEARCY, Ark. – Following their lowest-scoring output of the season just days ago, the No. 11 Harding Lady Bisons found their rhythm early and never looked back, defeating Ouachita Baptist 94-77 on Saturday afternoon at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
The 94 points marked a season-high for Harding (18-3, 12-3 GAC) and came immediately following a 50-47 defensive struggle in their victory Saturday over Southern Nazarene. The victory was Harding's 11th consecutive win over the Tigers, extending the longest winning streak in series history.
The Three-Point Barrage
Ouachita Baptist entered the contest boasting the No. 3-ranked three-point defense in NCAA Division II, but the Lady Bisons dismantled that reputation early. Harding connected on 13-of-23 (56.5%) from beyond the arc—the most triples made by the program since a 2021 matchup against Henderson State.
Maddi Holt set the tone early, draining three triples in the opening minutes to help Harding erase an early 5-2 deficit with an 11-0 run. By halftime, Harding had already hit nine three-pointers, surpassing the previous season-high of eight allowed by the Tigers' defense.
Key Runs and Turning Points
Harding took a 49-42 lead into the locker room after ending the second quarter on a decisive 8-0 run, capitalizing on five straight misses by the Tigers to close the half.
The momentum carried into the third quarter. Leading 54-51, the Lady Bisons surged again with an 8-0 burst into the media timeout. The exclamation point of the period came at the buzzer when Kennedy Stout converted a layup off a cross-court pass from Amelia Rogers, giving Harding a 74-60 advantage.
In the fourth, any hopes of a Tiger comeback were extinguished by a 10-3 Harding run, ignited by Holt's fourth three-pointer of the game, pushing the lead to its peak of 23 points late in the frame.
