ROGERS, Ark. – Defending champion and 38th-ranked Harding men's golf sits atop the leaderboard at the Shadow Valley Invitational after a productive, albeit unfinished, Monday at Shadow Valley Country Club.
The Bisons opened the day with a 6-over 294 in the first round before finding their rhythm in the afternoon. Harding was 1-under par as a team in the second round when play was suspended due to darkness. At the time of the stoppage, Harding held a three-stroke lead over Northwestern Oklahoma (+9). No. 5 Central Oklahoma and host Arkansas-Fort Smith's "B" team are currently tied for third at 11-over in the 17-team field.
Individual Standouts
A pair of Bisons are currently battling for the individual title. Junior Jose Arzu and 89th-ranked senior Jose Manuel Peralta are tied for first place at 3-under par.
