RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Following a dominant performance at the Arkansas Collegiate, Harding junior Dennis Staykov has been named the Great American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

It is the seventh weekly award of the 2025-26 spring season and the latest accolade for Staykov, who led the No. 19-ranked Bisons to a massive 32-stroke team victory in El Dorado.

Staykov, a native of Sofia, Bulgaria, captured his third career individual tournament title by "lapping the field" at Mystic Creek Golf Club. He finished the 54-hole event as the only player at or below par, carding an even-par 216. His opening-round 2-under 70 stood as the lowest single round of the entire tournament.

The junior's efficiency was unmatched throughout the week, as he led the 80-player field in both par-3 and par-4 scoring. He finished eight strokes clear of his closest competitor, teammate Jose Arzu.

The victory further cements Staykov's standing as one of the nation's top players, as he currently sits at No. 11 in the individual Clippd national rankings.

Arkansas Tech's Ellen Spigner garnered the GAC Women's Golfer of the Week award after winning the Hardscrabble Invitational.

Staykov and the Bisons will return to action on April 19-21 at the GAC Championships at The Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
