EDMOND, Okla. – The Harding women's golf team opened its spring season Monday, carding a 26-over 306 to sit in a tie for fifth place after the first round of the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational.
Hosted by Southern Nazarene at the par-70, 5,828-yard KickingBird Golf Club, the tournament features a competitive field of 17 where the opening round average score was 79.6. Harding currently sits tied with Redlands Community College, trailing leader No. 45 Southwestern Oklahoma (+11, 291) and second-place No. 42 Central Oklahoma (+17, 297).
Individual Leaderboard
Junior Cooper Meyer (Salado, Texas) led the Lady Bisons on Monday, carding a 4-over 74 to finish the day in ninth place individually. Meyer's round was highlighted by two birdies.

Harding excelled on the long holes, finishing the round ranked third in the field on par-5 scoring at 1-under par. Much of that success came from Sydney Kincade, who tied for fifth in the field by playing the par 5s at 1-under.
The Lady Bisons also displayed consistent ball-striking, ranking sixth in the tournament with 46 total pars and limiting damage by recording only five double bogeys—the second-lowest total in the field.
