NINETY-SIX, S.C. — The Harding Lady Bisons concluded play at the Grand Harbor Classic on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for 10th place in a high-caliber field at the Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor.

The Lady Bisons posted a final-round 22-over 310 to finish the 54-hole tournament with a total score of 50-over 914. Harding tied with No. 40-ranked Emmanuel (GA) for the 10th spot in the 19-team field. No. 1 Wingate captured the team title with a 1-under 863, followed by No. 7 Lander in second place at 2-over 866.

Conditions in Ninety-Six were challenging for the final round as temperatures hovered in the high 50s under overcast skies. Gusty winds out of the northeast reached up to 20 mph, impacting scoring across the field.

Sydney Kincade led the Lady Bisons in the final round, carding a 3-over 75. Kincade finished the tournament 35th at 8-over 224.

Junior Pilar Martinez, who entered the day in the top 15, shot a 5-over 77 on Tuesday to finish tied for 30th at 7-over for the tournament. After a brilliant ball-striking display on Monday, Martinez battled through the wind to keep Harding within the top 10.

Vivian Volion finished tied for 61st at 16-over 232, while Madeleine Wilson and Cooper Meyer finished tied for 79th and 81st, respectively.

The Lady Bisons finished ahead of several regionally-ranked opponents, including North Greenville and Newberry. Harding now looks forward to its next competition as they prepare for the Great American Conference championships in late April.
