TULSA, Okla. — Senior Madeleine Wilson saved her best for last, firing a career-low 1-under par 70 in Wednesday's final round to lead the Harding Lady Bisons to a sixth-place finish at the 2026 Great American Conference Women's Golf Championships.
Wilson's 70 at the Stone Creek course at Page Belcher Golf Club was the lowest 18-hole score by any Harding golfer this season. The performance propelled her 11 spots up the leaderboard into a fifth-place individual finish, marking her best career result at the conference tournament and her third top-five finish of the season.
Harding posted its best team score of the week on Wednesday, carding a 20-over 304 to finish the 54-hole event at 80-over 932. The Lady Bisons climbed past Arkansas-Monticello during the final round to secure sixth in the 11-team field.
No. 31 Arkansas Tech claimed the conference title with a total of 38-over 890, finishing 30 strokes ahead of runner-up Henderson State (+68).
Junior Sydney Kincade turned in her best round of the week on Wednesday, carding a 5-over 76 to finish in a tie for 23rd at 22-over. Freshman Vivian Volion finished one stroke ahead of Kincade at 21-over, placing 20th overall after a final-round 79.
Senior Pilar Martinez carded an 8-over 79 to finish in 28th place (+25), while Cooper Meyer shot an 81 to finish 39th (+32).
Wilson's final round featured remarkable consistency, as she carded a 36 on the front nine before coming home in 2-under 34. It was her second under-par round of the 2025-26 season.
Harding's next action will be at the NCAA Central Regional, played at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri, on May 4-6.
