SEARCY, Ark. — Fresh off a runner-up finish at the conference championships, the No. 19-ranked Harding men's golf team is headed back to the NCAA postseason.
The NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee announced its regional selections Sunday, and the Bisons earned the No. 3 seed in the Central Region. Harding will travel to Big Rapids, Michigan, to compete in the 2026 NCAA Central/Midwest Regional at Katke Golf Course on May 7–9.
The regional tournament is hosted by Ferris State University and features a high-powered field of 20 teams—10 from the Central Region and 10 from the Midwest Region—along with eight individual qualifiers.
Harding enters the regional with significant momentum. Junior Dennis Staykov, the recently crowned GAC Player of the Year and individual medalist, leads a lineup that has secured two tournament titles, 127 head-to-head wins and an .852 winning percentage this season.
The Central Region field is led by No. 1 seed Central Oklahoma and No. 2 Central Missouri. Harding is one of three Great American Conference programs to earn a team bid, joined by No. 7-seeded Arkansas Tech and No. 8-seeded Southern Arkansas. Conrado Diaz Ermacora of Southwestern Oklahoma State also qualified as an individual for the Central Region.
The Midwest Region is headlined by top seed Grand Valley State and No. 2 Findlay.
Teams will play a practice round on May 6 before beginning the 54-hole competition on May 7. The top four teams from the regional and the two highest-placing individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships on May 18-22 in Boulder City, Nevada.
Harding is making its seventh regional appearance, all since 2017, and its first under head coach Sam Tandy. Harding qualified for the National Championship in both 2023 and 2024.
