SEARCY, Ark. – The No. 40-ranked Harding men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day in dominant fashion Thursday afternoon, defeating Southeastern Oklahoma State 7-0 at the Elliott Tennis Complex.

The victory keeps the Bisons (12-6, 3-0) undefeated in GAC/MIAA South Division play and secures their third consecutive win. Southeastern Oklahoma falls to 4-10 overall and 1-3 in conference action.

Quick Start in Doubles

Harding needed little time to secure the doubles point, winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. The No. 3-ranked duo of Adrian Solorzano and Cian Mikkelsen set the tone with a 6-1 victory over Davi Pereira Costa and Paolo Estrada.

Sebastian De Las Salas and Edoardo D'Arrigo, ranked No. 30 nationally, clinched the point with an identical 6-1 win at the No. 3 spot. The match at No. 2 was abandoned with the Bisons already leading 1-0.

Singles Sweep

The Bisons carried the momentum into singles play, winning all six matches. Appropriately, the senior class led the charge on their celebratory afternoon. Adrian Solorzano (No. 68 singles) was the first off the court at the No. 1 flight, cruising to a 6-2, 6-0 win. He was followed quickly by fellow senior Edoardo D'Arrigo, who won 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 5 position.

Florian Gayme earned the clinching fourth point for Harding with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 6. Sebastian De Las Salas followed with a straight-set win at No. 2 to extend the lead to 5-0.

The final two matches required third-set tiebreakers to maintain the shutout. Luis Agullo rallied from a second-set stumble to win a 10-6 breaker at No. 4, while Cian Mikkelsen closed the day with a dramatic 1-6, 6-3, 10-3 comeback victory at the No. 3 spot.

Harding hits the road for the final two matches of the regular season, both against critical conference rivals. The Bisons travel to Magnolia to face Southern Arkansas on Tuesday, April 14, before concluding the schedule at Ouachita Baptist on April 21.
