SEARCY -- Former Harding University football standouts Clark Griffin and Braden Jay have been selected to the D2Football.com Division II All-Quarter Century Team, the publication announced.
Compiled by D2Football.com founder Brandon Misener to mark the website's 26th full season of coverage, the prestigious roster honors the most impactful NCAA Division II players who completed their collegiate careers between 2000 and 2025. Selections were based on a combination of talent evaluation and career accomplishments.
Griffin was named a Second Team Linebacker, while Jay earned Second Team All-Purpose honors. Both played foundational roles in the most successful stretch in Harding football history, which featured the 2023 NCAA Division II National Championship, a 2025 national runner-up finish, and three consecutive Great American Conference titles.
Griffin (2022–2025) anchored a Bison defense that consistently ranked as the premier unit in Division II. A multi-time All-American, he finished his career as Harding's NCAA-era leader with 439 tackles, including a record 45.5 tackles for loss. Griffin was on the D2Football.com Elite 100 in both 2024 and 2025.
Jay (2022–2025) emerged as one of the most explosive perimeter weapons in all of college football. Operating as an all-purpose threat in Harding's record-setting flexbone offense, Jay accumulated three consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons and 60 career touchdowns, helping propel the 2025 offense to an all-division NCAA record of 6,943 rushing yards and 88 rushing touchdowns.
