SEARCY, Ark. — Ella Drake recorded a match-high 10 kills and Olivia Wiedower recorded 31 assists and four service aces as the Harding women's volleyball team swept Missouri Southern 25-15, 25-13, 25-14 on Friday night at Rhodes-Reaves Field House in the Harding Invitational.
Harding (10-1) held Missouri Southern (4-6) to a -.057 hitting percentage while posting a .253 clip of its own. The Lady Bisons registered 11 service aces and outkilled the Lions 40-16.
Melaina Haines added eight kills and eight digs for Harding, while Rauly Eason hit .375 with seven kills. Philomina Klotz recorded a match-high five blocks (two solo), and libero Mallory Weyand led the defense with 10 digs.
Harding jumped out early in Set 1, using service aces from Wiedower to build an 18-9 cushion before securing the set 25-15.
In Set 2, the Lady Bisons hit a match-best .385 with 14 kills on 26 total attacks while holding Missouri Southern to four kills and a -.043 attack percentage.
The Lady Bisons completed the sweep in Set 3, pulling away behind a 10-1 run to close the set and win 25-14
Addysen Alvis led Missouri Southern with five kills and nine digs.
Harding finishes play in the Harding Invitational on Saturday, hosting Missouri S&T at 2 p.m. inside Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
