SEARCY — An early own goal and a second-half strike pushed Dallas Baptist past Harding men's soccer 2-0 on Thursday afternoon at Stevens Soccer Complex.

The Patriots (1-1-0) set an aggressive tone early, outshooting the Bisons 12-0 in the opening 45 minutes. DBU caught its opening break in the 12th minute when an attempted clearance header by Harding defender Mario Alejo misdirected over goalkeeper Andrew Wagenblatt and into the net for an own goal.

Harding (0-2-0) generated offensive pressure after the intermission, firing eight second-half shots. Senior forward Reik Barrack came off the bench to put two shots on goal, while defender Aitor Scholl forced a save in the 50th minute.

DBU extended its advantage in the 69th minute on a quick sequence down the left flank. Liam Spiller whipped a cross into the box, finding Carson Schoenbeck for a tap-in inside the six-yard box to seal the contest.

• Goalkeeping: Andrew Wagenblatt collected four saves for Harding in a full 90-minute effort. DBU keeper Hugo Herrera stopped two shots alongside a team save to keep the Bisons off the board.
