Years Cheering at Harding: First Year

Major: Bible and Family Ministry, minor in counseling

Career Goals: I hope to become a Licensed Professional Counselor! God has given me a passion for making people feel seen and heard. Whether it is through counseling, ministry, or something totally different I want others to be impacted by Christ through me.

Interests/Hobbies: I played sports all through high school such as basketball, track, and cheer! Because of this I love competing and staying active. I enjoy painting and journaling in my free time. The thing that brings me the most joy though is hanging with friends and building relationships with those around me!

Why are you cheering at Harding? " I am cheering at Harding for three reasons. First of all, it has a reputation of being an incredible program. I cheered with Marissa Gibson in high school and she always told me how much she loved it. I have absolutely loved cheering and tumbling for the last 6 years and I didn’t see a reason why I should stop now.
Secondly, I love being on a team and building relationships! Cheer is a great way to meet new people and continue to work toward a goal together!
Lastly and most significant to me, I believe God has called me to encourage others. Cheer is the epitome of uplifting others and learning to smile no matter what (Hebrews 10:24-25). I did not mean to write a whole essay for this question, but truly, words cannot describe how thankful I am to continue this passion and do what God has called me to do through this program. "
