• Played four seasons as a shortstop for coach Darren Gowen at Central Arkansas Christian School in North Little Rock, Ark. ... started at shortstop each of the last three years ... was a member of the Mustangs’ Arkansas Class 3A state championship team in 2004 ... a three-time all-conference honoree ... named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Sophomore Team in 2004 and was selected to play in the XtraInnings Summer Classic each of the last two seasons ... was one of 16 Arkansas high school baseball players selected to play with the Arkansas Prospects Baseball Team, which toured the southeast United States playing against top high school and junior college players from around the region.
