Lady Bison Soccer Falls to #24 UNA on Play for the Cure Night

SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team fell to #24 North Alabama Friday night in Gulf South Conference action, 3-0. The Lady Bisons fall to 3-8-1 overall and 1-3 in the GSC.

North Alabama (14-1-1, 5-0 GSC) got on the board in the tenth minute of play when GSC leading goal scorer Chloe Roberts found the back of the net on a pass from Nikki Brown. It was Roberts' 24th goal on the season. She picked up her 25th goal in the 20th minute on a free kick from 20-yards out. North Alabama took a 2-0 lead into the break.

The Lions scored their final goal of the game a free kick from 25-yards out by Julia Osmond.

Harding had two good chances to get on the board. Chelsea Brandon struck two really good balls in which UNA goalkeeper Alex McLay made the save each time.  McLay ended with four saves on the night and picked up her sixth shutout of the season.

UNA had 16 shots in the match to Harding's 9.

The Lady Bisons travel to Carrollton, Ga., on Sunday to take on West Georgia at 1 p.m.
